First Twenty-Four Hours Home

Cate's first night home I am certain was a bit overwhelming for her - she had more help that she knew what to do with. We gave her a bath right away when we got home and even though I was braced for a long night of playing - Skylar and Wyatt both asked to go to bed.  They wanted to help brush Cate's teeth, lotion her from head to toe and tuck her in.  Everyone was asleep before midnight. Hallelujah.

We all slept much better than I anticipated.  Cate seemed overwhelmed a little in the morning - almost like she forgot where she went to bed - but was quickly greeted with more kisses than she knew what to do with and was so excited to see Sky and Wyatt!

We spent a little bit of time outside in the morning - she seemed very intrigued by the grass!

She ate breakfast, lunch and dinner like it was her job - and even fought over Nate with Skylar and Wyatt.  HA!  She still definitely prefers me when it comes to doing naptime/bedtime routine - but has quickly warmed up to him after watching him play with her sister and brother.

We all took three hour naps - and Nate trying to wake Cate and I up was probably the hardest job he has had in weeks.  It was all I could do to make it back downstairs - I could have slept another 24 hours and probably still not felt rested.  Jet lag is no joke! They say one day for every hour of the time difference - sure hope we don't feel this way for 12 days!

Second night home and everyone is still fighting over who lotions what foot and who gets the last bedtime kiss.  I think it's safe to say everyone is smitten with Cate and we are so thankful she is in our family.
